Unable to retrieve images

Not sure if this is the place to ask this question...

I am unable to retrieve/view images served from the pbase.com web site. I get a few but certainly less than half of the images. Since one of my primary purposes for joining this forum was to solicit criticism of my work (and offer some when I am able), I am concerned that I won't be able to see comparisons since this site seems to be pretty popular for this purpose.

I am running IE 6.0 with cookies enabled under WinXP Pro. I use a DirecWay 2-way satellite for my internet connection. I get graphics and images from virtually all other sites on the web.

Any ideas or suggestions?

Many public image sharing sites have restrictions to direct (external) linking to image files i.e. placing URLs pointing to image files in sites outside of the main gallery server. What they usually will accept is linking to the gallery page which in turn shows the image. Some services will enable external linking to image files with extra cost.

The internet connection and browser settings of visitor is most likely unimportant here, as the image is retrieved via embedded link by this server (hosting the forum) and client (visitor) system is a passive receiver only.
