I am wondering if anyone has experinece with Tokina lens. I am looking at a less expensive way of getting a faster lens for some amateur sports Photography. I am looking at the AT-X 828AF Pro AF 28~200mm f/2.8

Any suggestion or comments are appreciated

A friend of mine has a Tokina lens for his Nikon D1 and he likes it fine, but he uses the Nikor lenses far more. If price is the issue, have you looked at the Sigma Zoom Telephoto 70-200mm f/2.8 EX APO IF HSM? I'm actually looking at that one myself. I've heard good things about that lens and it's in the same ball park as the Tokina price-wise.
