Hi all,
First post and hoping someone can advise me.
I just purchased a the T1i and as I am an avid runner, was wondering
1. If I should be running with a camera on my back and if it does any damage to it interanlly even if the camera is secured.
2. If I can, any suggestions on bag that I could use.
I love running and that the time I take most of my photo's.
Thanks in advance.

Ther late Galen Rowell designed some bags for PhotoFlex based on his need for a chest carrier while running. In fact, i=one of his (many) well-known photos, "Rainbow over Potala Palace" (https://nl.savetibet.org/news/newsitem.php?id=502) was the result of his taking his Nikon and Photoflex chest pouch, ditching the rest of his gear, and running down the rainbow. I'm not sure they kept the line after he died prematurely in a plane crash, AFAIK they punted the line. But check Kata - they have some similar carriers.

Thank you so much for the suggestion. I'll have a look at the Kata line to see if I can find something suitable.

Kata has what they call "Torsopack" -- T-212 and T-214. I have both. The difference between them is small and large in every measurable way -- width, depth, height, etc.
If you run with just one camera with small to medium lens, then get the T-212. It's great for all outdoor activities. The T-214, on the other hand, has more space internally, so it might be a bit too large for running purposes. You can see my pictorial review here:

:-D
Scot 069, It's the only way I can get around and shoot stuff, faster than walking. :-)
Thanks SYS for the suggestion, I saw it and tried it out, but the single strap wasn't as comfortable as I'd like it to be, especially for running.
I just went out and bought the 3N1 Kata bag and it feels great, just trying to see how snug my Canon will sit in it. Was raining today so couldn't really try it out, hopefully tomorrow and I'll update you all.
Thanks again everyone for the suggestion.

to be honest, i cant imagine strapping my gripped 40d to myself for a few miles. definitely something you're gonna have to grow accustomed to i suppose. makes you wonder whether carrying in front or behind the torso would be more comfortable though.
