A Cartoon-ish Photo Of My Daughter

I was messing around with my new Sigma 70-300mm APO lens, today, when I came across this shot. With a little help with GIMP, this photo took on a wispy, dreamy, cartoon-ish quality that fits the photo (as well as my daughter's personality) well:

The wind was blowing right square on her face, causing her hair to make those neat little wisps upward and outward. I added a very subtle layer of an effect called "soft glow" which does what it sounds like... softens the photo while giving it a glow. I turned the transparency of the soft glow layer to about 24% to give it JUST a bit of softness and glow. In other words, I was just goofing around with the photo and came up with this. =]
