Anyone heard anything about this lense?

I've heard it is very good in all aspects except one... flare.
It apparently beats both the sigma 12-24 and canon 10-22 in terms of sharpness and build (the tokinas are awesome in this dept). But, for me flare resistance is a huge deal on a wide angle lens, which is why I have the Tokina 17mm lens which is the most flare resistant wide angle out there.
Check out this thread (http://www.fredmiranda.com/forum/topic/208724/0).

I have the Tokina and highly recommend it. It is a very sharp lens and built really well too. Comes with a hood too.

I'm undecided between this and the tamron 28-75/2.8. I shoot cars mostly, and scenery, what do you guys think?

I think for scenery the 12-24 may be slightly too wide for some things, and the 28-75 would be too long for some things, and the Tamron 17-35 XR Di would be juuuust right.
