Command arrived with a 1 story building (used auto retailer) well involved. Crews led off with a 2.5" handline and began defensive attack. The fire was under control in approx. 2 hours. Fire marshals are investigating. No injuries were reported.

Dave those are great - I really like #2, it looks like you were on the roof with them, what lens did you shoot that with?

Thanks I appreciate it. 1, 2, and 3 were shot with my 70-200L 2.8 IS and the rest were shot with my 24-70L. I started out the night shooting with a 1.4x tc but I dumped it to get the f2.8 f4 wasn't cutting it.

I don't use flash on the fire ground because of scotch lite flair...

If you get some good glass and learn how to use it with a decent body, there is virtually no need for flash at most fire scenes. :p

So true but I am most of the time to busy to be snapping pics on the scene. Silly command.

Me too in my town. Too busy being an interior officer :p

Back to the photos... I forgot to add that I used my 1.4x tc for number 3. I had it on thinking I was going to use it, got that shot, then took it off.

They are all nice, however the last 2 are my faves. Bless the firemen!
