Last week i took a few shots of scottish highlanders. Personally i like them, but wondering what you guys think about it.
Taken with eos 450d + canon 55-250 lens.

Those guys have a lot of character. It would have been nice to see the face of the one in the foreground in the 2nd pic and you cut off part of the horn of the one on the left in the 1st shot. Nice job though.

As Candor says, some framing issues with the first two. #1 was so close too... just needed a smidge more at left to be a great shot. #3's not bad but the deep shadow from the horn is rather distracting... dodging it in PP might help. Terrific looking beasts... hope you take some more. Might want to add some contrast to the sky using a "curves" adjustment... need to be careful when shooting not to let it get blown... shooting RAW helps too... more dynamic range recorded and more chance of recovering even more again. Beautiful countryside. Cheers, Tony

thanks for the comments everyone. Yeah i know about the first shot, hated it myself too, but there was a pole to the left so when i took a different angle, they both turned their heads so they ruined my shot :(

Personally I like the first shot, the profile pic. Seems to have movement to me, like I can sense him walking off the frame. Also seems to tell the story that he is the dominant one. Just my impression.
The one with the shadow over the face seems a bit distracting to me.
Overall excellent looking pics.

slightly changed the curves and changed the sky color a bit (made it a bit darker)
