I was walking at the outlet stores in Las Vegas a couple months ago and snapped this beauty. Simple, random, visually pleasing (to me atleast). Let me know what you think!

Does absolutely nothing for me. The white-to-black gradient you've presumably PPed into the blue is decidedly distracting, and there's just no satisfying subject matter. What are those discs anyway - is this something only a gambler would understand? Cheers, Tony

Thank you sir. The only thing I did with the blue was up the saturation to get a little more color in it. Didn't add any gradient or anything like that. I'm not sure what the discs are, and I don't remember quiet honestly, I think just had some pictures on them. I liked the silhouette look of them. As for subject matter, there isn't really any. just a picture of hanging lights. =) thanks.

I agree with Tony also...the just isn't much for a subject in this one.

I guess that I'm missing it too. I was kinda worried when I read "visually pleasing" and I was not getting it. I'm not really creative.

I like it -- simple shapes against a pleasing background. It isn't to everyone's taste obviously but well executed in my opinion.

Thanks for the replies guys! All comments and criticisms are welcome!
It's not something that's supposed to win awards or anything. Just a picture taken while I was on vacation that I thought turned out fairly nice. As for the subject, I guess if you need for there to be one, the hanging light bulbs are the subject.
Thanks for looking!

I can see that hanging over a sofa in some minimalist furniture store, and maybe my home. I think it's a nice display of color and shape. The uncalibrated display I'm on right now shows a bit of a violet tint in the bottom right quadrant - It's a minor thing, but if it was mine, I'd see if I could adjust that out to keep the blue transition more even.

I was thinking the same thing! Maybe starbucks or something haha
I didn't notice it at first, but I see it now. I'll mess around with it. Thanks!

i actually like "simplicity." its something you could feasibly make a series of, imo. i dont know if they would be "wall-hangers," but i like the idea. and, i like the picture fine. i dont think everything has to be overcriticized. i know this is the right forum for any little thing to be pointed out, and that's fine. i just wanted to go on record as the dissenting opinion.

There is not too much subject matter in Habakuk's work (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=567959) either...I quite like the simplistic look.
Just know to those that only know how to critique the bad, a photo is an art form. Art has many aspects and approaches. This one follows a more abstract and minimalistic approach.
