Well first off this is the most expensive gift I have ever gotten and I practically fell out of my chair when I opened the gift Sunday. I just got around to loading images up on PBASE. So for those of you wondering how the lens performs I put up some unedited full size jpegs on my site. Here are the large versions, originals on site.

The thing that gets me is this is without a filter of anykind. The color saturation is great, and on a cloudy day without any filter i'm surprised. My 100 f/2.8 Macro doesn't even pull this kind of saturation usually.

Excellent gift for a 21st. I wasn't that big into photography on my 21st, 10months ago, so I asked for a stereo.

Nice first few shots with it also. They're going to be a beaut to edit them and bring out the colours further. :)

You are so lucky. Now, i need a rich uncle to buy me such nice gift for my b-day at end of this month!
Oh no, not uncle Sam. I did not get enough return from him to buy even a 28mm f2.8.
