Can't get pictures to be recognized?

Yet another newbie question. I installed EE 1.22 no problems. Uploaded pictures ... no problem. Tried to get EE to see the pictures or use the paths .... problem!!

Fixed Chmod settings (all files and folders) ... still nothing.

I can't see any thumbs, microthumbs, or anything!

Any ideas?

Ok ... this may sound really dumb .... but from reading what's new in EE 1.3 ... does EE1.22 not support .jpg files?

1.22 has problem in case differences (.JPG vs. .jpg), it accepts .jpg only. Also, special characters like spaces and scandinavian letters are not interpreted correctly by 1.22.

These are fixed in 1.3RC.

I think you got all your path wrong. This is what you entered:

http://www.jaymz.ca/galleries/microthumb/CRW_5895_00001.jpg

And note it should be .../gallery/...
not .../galleries/...

Also, don't you have a sub folder under /gallery/ something like D30_photos, or your new folder? So it should be http://www.jaymz.ca/gallery/your_picture_folder/microthumb/CRW_5895_00001.jpg

Well I tried your suggestion ... still nothing! I have installed 1.3 everything seems to be operating fine... except still no recognition of my file path, my thumbs, or even the file names.

The files are there .... the directory is chmod to 777 ... my picture files are in their own folder, same structure as D30 folderand still nothing. Any ideas?

http://www.jaymz.ca/gallery/east_coast/microthumb/ is what I have for the URL address where the microthumb sized images are.

and .../microthumbs/ is what I have for the path

For the thumbs I have basically the same thing, however use "thumb" instead. Your help would be invaluable!

Hey All,

Finally figured it out! And she's work'n like a charm. Thanks for everyone's help. It was my path that was wrong, which the FAQ section solves, as I wasn't understanding what the ".../FOLDER?" meant and that each "." was refering to a step back.
