Hey guys, I've always enjoyed the look of HDR, so I decided to try a few attempts myself.

I appreciate any advice and comments!

Please ignore the watermark, lol, still on trial at the moment.

All were done using autobracketing with +/-2, so 3 shots total. Used photomatix to put them together, and then did some touchups in PS.

[3] Dundurn Castle (I'm not sure why they call it a castle, lol)

Very nice, stone and wood do well in HDR don't they. I love those green doors.

the second one has a blue cast.. you can just fix that in Photoshop... Third one almost looks like a 3d model.. but nice work none the less.

Thanks guys.

Ya, the second one is a bit messed up, I will try to fix it. Once I saw those green doors I knew I had to take a shot of em.

I love all three photos. The only thing that I would fix is something that was suggested to me in this forum. The 3rd photo needs to straighten up the building in PS. It looks like its going to fall in on itself. The first 2 are Ok but it looks like your camera was tilted just a little bit when you took these. The processing looks great.

I agree with you, the problem is I'm too much of a novice with PS to know how to correct the 'falling in on itself', but I totally know what you mean, I don't even know how that happened.

The other two have alot of vertical lines, and I couldn't find the correct way to tilt them either way without some other lines becoming slanted, you know what I mean?

In PS go to filter-distort-lens correction then use the vertical perspective. I but about a -20 on your photo and it straighted it out pretty good. Click Ok then re-crop as you will loose a little bit of the photo

lol...

What would've caused that 'falling in' effect in the first place? Is it the lens?

Its the tilting up or down of the camera to the reference object. I can't remember which is which but if you tilt up it goes one way (object or vertical straight lines in or out) and tilt down the opposite way. sometimes you want it for artistic reasons http://stemm.smugmug.com/photos/455299527_jpC9U-L-1.jpg and other times when you have a building you want it to stand straight up.
