Thank you for commenting and I understand what you are getting at. This was an unplaned shoot for me. There was a mass of people around watching so I couldn't use a tripod ( didn't have my mono with me )and it was very windy so the Helo's were moving around a lot even when hovering. I did try for some of those shots though.

this was shot with a 40D. 300mm 2.8 IS with 2x extender hand held at 1/125 sec f/11

I think the rotors on these birds are maybe a little slower then the ones I saw in the thread you were talking about. But thank you for the imput and I hope next time I can use a tripod and maybe get some of those kind of shots

well just think bout it, if the Cobra can't put the fire out with water it can blow it up with hellfire missles and cannon fire. ha ha

I hope next time I can use a tripod I wouldn't, but maybe you can get away with it with that bucket hanging below.
