Ironically i took this shot at a cemetary. Mausoleum to be exact. What beautiful flowers wasted on the dead.

i think that the rose is a very good representation. you are mainly focusing on the two roses. they are the brightest roses ive ever seen and they are very pretty. kudos to you.

With all due respect, placing flowers in memory of someone cherished is hardly a waste.

i think you might have over-adjusted the contrast. i looked at the histogram in ps and it showed clipping on both ends. while it is true that the color saturation is enhanced, you are also losing details in hilights and shadow areas.
care to post the original? :)

Sry for the insensitivity. From my perspective though, i have about 5 family members buried next to those flowers, but have never met one of them...so it seems very far removed to me (and ritualistic, i have a traditional chinese family)

Besides the crop that shot was not processed at all
I dont remember exactly but on camera +moderate saturation and contrast
The histogram looks good to me
