85 1.2 whats a good used price?

Im interested in getting one of these and it looks like they are about $1500.
new Im new to this forum and to the canon system so I havent followed the prices
and Im open to any offers to sell one

Around $1300 US is a good price for a fairly mint, fairly new lens

I bought a used 85 1.2 last year from Samy's in Los Angeles, and paid $1,000. I think I got a better price than I might have otherwise because it was the same day I bought my 1D MkII. It was also a cash deal, and maybe the lack of a paper trail helped.

I just bought it off Ebay for $1265. now pray that I actually get it, he had a buy it now for 1350 and I was watching it then today he dropped the BIN to 1250 and I thought I had better not stall to much, now I have a 135 f2 and a 851.2 there goes my 1dmk II for now anyway. Thanks for the replies and once i get to using it I will post some photos from it
