I have a D60 and a D30 and want to add pro-lighting to my digital weddings, receptions and location portraits.
This is a whole new world for me (coming from a traditional photojournalism background) and I admit I'm a bit overwhelmed with the choices.
I think I need something with portable power (Quantum , etc. ?), 320 WS or greater that I can add radio slaves to.
Is this even feasible?
If anyone has had some good results or recommendations I would love to hear from you.

For location portraits I have used ST-E2 transmitter with two 550EX's using simple Lumiquest bouncers. It would be best to have a third 550 replacing ST-E2 for eye catchlight or as extra fill (and ST-E2 can set up separately two flashes, 550 drives 3 and 550 has more remote setup options). I place them on simple stands (microphone stands are most versatile to position). 420's work too with infrared.

I have not shot any weddings but I know 550 can be a problem there. Many have got a 'simpler' Metz flash which does not require constant FEL locking.

Thanks Pekka.
I already have two 550's so that may be a good idea for us. The only thing I'm concerned with is versatility. I was hoping for something I could upgrade and have a lot of control with.
But I did not know about microphone stands, what a neat idea.
