I am a little surprised that are no threads yet on this Meeting.

This selection is from the FIA GT Championship race, 2 hours in duration. Weather was very changeable but the rain held off. As usual with Silverstone it's a challenge avoiding fences.

I had picked up a second hand Sigma 50 - 500 on Friday and this was it's first real test! I am still learning with it!!

1 Ford GT

Some nice clear shots but your colour balance has gone a bit wonky in a few of them. Check out the tarmac colour and how it varies from shot to shot.

2 - Saleen chasing a Nissan

Correct me if I'm wrong here, but isn't that a Ford GT chasing a Nissan?

Thanks for the comments.

With the colour balance I am not sure what could have caused it. I do very limited post processing in Lightroom, mainly for sharpness and clarity.

I have gone back to the orginals and just added sharpness and clarity to them I think they look more consistent now, but of course it could be my monitor!

Yes, my mistake on picture 2, as already pointed out it's not a Saleen but a Ford GT.

Nice shots, no6 is great, how did you achieve the sparkle on the headlights.? i presume its done with a filter.?
Cheers, Nick

Thanks Nick,

I did nothing special to get the effect, it's the same on a couple of the others I have posted in this series.

I can only think it might be to do with the filter on the lens, although it's only a UV. It's the first time I have used this lens (Sigma 50 - 500) in anger, having only picked it up the Friday before.

I guess others on here might be able to come up with a more technical answer!!

Yes, those are more consistent now.
