Hi - my setup is in the title. I am shooting with a 20D, editing with PSCS on a powermac and printing with an Epson R1800. I am just beginning to understand color spaces. My desired effect is that the image on screen (Cinema HD) is as close to the image that is printed as is possible (I think - is there a reason I would want something else?)
How do I accomplish this? Should I set everything to colorsync? Should PS be converting color spaces, or preserving embedded profiles? What about print time? Any help with this is better than none - especially from other macintosh owners.
Thanks,
Adam

Take a look at this thread. It's specifically geared towards the Canon printers but the general procedure and setup are the same. The only difference is that, in your case, you would specify your own printer ICC where appropriate instead of the Canon printer profile. Just be aware that you can set up the print one of two way. Let PSCS do all the color management (and turn off color management on the printer) or let the printer do all the color management if your printer is capable of doing that.

I've had my R1800 for a week or so now and have only printed one image. One change from my canon i560 is that in the printer setup there is color profile/space management. I'm not sure if setting the color profile/print space in my photoshop elements 3 AND in the print setup does too much or if only one should be set. And of course I'm using an IBM PC.

CM should only be done at one source, either PS or printer but not both or you'll get double color management and mess up the colors.
