thats all of 'em. i think they turned out ok, but i've decided that in a couple weeks im gonna bite the bullet and get a 24-70 F/2.8L. my tamron is having focus issues and i cant count on it to focus all the time. when i open up the shots on my computer and they're slightly out of focus, it really leaves a bad taste in my mouth. anyhow, thanks for looking. C&C is always appreciated.

These shots are OK, but it could look better. Look at the light on this one, then see the "Tips" link in my Sig.

try NOT to shoot on the shadow side unless the car has one of those chameleon paint jobs.

Well, I disagree with that & suggest that you try shooting both sides & see what you like best. White cars: (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showpost.php?p=6129597&postcount=52)

And some chameleon paint jobs only "come out" in sunlight.

thanks guys. the car is not mine, but a friends. i agree, the lighting isnt ideal, and thats why i got off my tuff and ordered some pocketwizards and another flash. waiting for them to show up here. i hope to learn lighting a bit this summer. i cant wait.

personally, i love having shadows in a shot. maybe thats a noob mistake, but i feel like it works sometimes. again, thanks for the input.

personally, i love having shadows in a shot. maybe thats a noob mistake, I don't mind shadows IF they work, but they usually mean harsh lighting which isn't the best for the car. IMO, the "noob mistake" being made around here is trying to use the strobist style before they learn how to make a car look good with late light. ;) Look how nice the light on the car is in your 5th shot.
And learning how to crop would be nice, too.
