I don't think I'd trust a site that used a photoshopped version of the original 5D to portray a 5D2...

I've heard it in other places too.

It is one of those things that will just happen sometime. I don't care much about when. I bought it as a still camera. If I want to use it to film video, I will put some thought into what, where and how so that I don't run into its limitations.

Im pretty sure the 1DsIV will have manual controls, but Im not sure the 5D2 will in the future, at least until well after the 1D comes out.

Well, Pentax K7 is going to have this feature, so I surmise that if Canon does come out with the firmware, it would be when the K7 becomes released to deflate some of its steam. That said though, I don't recall Canon ever coming out with firmwares that not only fix bugs but provide newfangled features not present before...

It would basically fix a bug in my opinion.
In exposure simulation mode you have manual control (until you press record).
That feels like a bug to me..:)
