The main thing here is the prop. There is a thread here about obtaining prop blur.
Otherwise I like your shot and your processing has given it that period look. Nicely done
except for cliping the elevator. Welcome to the world of aircraft photography :)

Thanks Peter. To create more prop blur do I need a slower shutter speed?

Yep
For this plane I would think it would have to be pretty slow.
What lens did you use?

It's tough to find the right combination of sharp shots & prop blur. Sometimes it helps to practice with traffic for a warm up before the shoot.
Airshow guys - prop freeze? (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=229542)

Looks like it is hanging from a ceiling somewhere although you cant see the wires, interesting procesing shame the tail is cropped off.

To get a partial prop blur start with 1/250". This will improve the look of your shot and give the feeling of motion. When your panning skills improve go down to 1/125" or less to get a complete rotation blur. -Randy

Pilot is blurred out by window glare. I was worried for a second myself about ghost pilots:oops:..
My other thought was this is a very nice R/C plane gliding in!!!

Thanks for the feedback on prop blur.

When flown solo, the pilot sits in the rear seat. That same model, or nearly the same model is one I did my first solo in in Key West, Florida. Fall 1954.

Thanks Frank I was trying to find that link. I keep them in a Notepad file. It seems easier to search.
