Hi Paul, I used a G3 in manual mode
Macro
Manual Focus
F3.0
1/200
ISO 50
Flash 1/3 pwr
full zoom 14X with a GLASS magnifying glass on the front (the po mans macro lens)
I have the 58mm adaptor tube and found that the regular round magnifying glass fits just about perfect :)

BTW, if anyone is wondering what the little white specks are all over the fly; it's dust fron sanding drywall. :) I'm working on my photography studio and I was sanding about an hour before these were taken.
