Studio shoot best with grey card or Expodisc?

Which one work the best for studio shoot? A grey card or expodisc?

I use a cheap and durable lastolite target. I dont see the point of using a expodisc in the studio.

Im sure someone can tell me why though... .-)

color checker chart? How to do that? if you didn't balance out the color, what's the difference if you manually balance out the color using adobe camera raw or DPP?

Is lastolite is some sort of DIY grey card?
