Well I had the camera all set-up to shoot softball in the clear blue sunny skies before the game started. Chatting with parents before the game, and the entire time a storm front moved in and sunny skies were GONE! Well the idiot I am, I FORGOT to adjust the camera settings from:

ALL shot through the fence :-x
Canon 1D
Sigma 70-200 f2.8
AV Mode
ISO 200
f4

I did check the histogram every now and then, and it was showing correct exposure, but lacked the shutter speed I needed to freeze the action.

But I managed to get some that were IMO pretty cool shots, and the parents liked them!!

I also tried some different crops in LR2

Maybe shoot RAW next time. Those are good for through the fence. My soccer team has that same red and it gives my camera fits.

I like these even with the blur, I think the blur works with these images. I know I have done the same thing in regards to not changing settings, but hey it you got some good images. Thanks for sharing.
