I've been sorta excited; one of my goals has been meet -- first photo in a national magazine -- a full page, even. I figured if anyone cared, it would be you folks. It's a shot of Andy Hull from Manchester Orchestra back in August of last year.

hey Joel, congrats! nice photo too, i can see why they wanted to run it.
i'm curious as to how the transaction went down...did you contact them, or vice versa? i've had zero luck getting any kind of shots published in mags that i wasn't on assignment for...maybe i need to be more diligent...

Thanks guys.
Surprisingly, I didn't pursue it at all. They found this photo (http://www.flickr.com/photos/joelfaurote/2736706117/in/set-72157606565163062/)on flickr. It was just by chance, really. I actually recieved credit, too. If you squint you can see it -- small black text in the gutter towards the bottom. I'm so used to having 'Courtesy Photo' under my photos that http://courtesyphoto.org/ redirects to my site.

nice!
since flickr does get a ton of traffic, i've toyed around w/ the idea of putting a single photo from each of my galleries (heavily-watermarked) on it...probably not a bad idea...

Nice, it's about time really. That's definitely a stand out shot, and it will be nice to have the tear sheet.
