Hi everyone,

I just wanted to ask if anybody has any news on this lens coming the the EOS system (in a ZE mount, not by means of an adapter).

Thank you!

They do have the 1.4/50 Planar in teh ZE mount.

I am having real trouble trying to decide between it and the Canon 50mm f/1.2L.

:(

No, the original poster was referring to the makro-planar 50mm f/2 lens, not the planar 50mm f/1.4.

So far, no news on the ZE mount.

Works well with the adaptor ... I had one on Canon but I shifted to Nikon.

Thanks for all your replies!

I meant the 2/50 makro, not the planar 1.4/50. Perhaps I should look into an adaptor ... It seems as though it will take a long time for the makro to come to the white side.

Does an adapter have a negative influence on IQ? I don't mind stop-down metering.

No issues with the adaptor normally but with 5D there might be because of mirror clearance. Not sure about mk II now I've checked your gear. I'd advise trying it before spending what is a big chunk of change.

Thanks for the heads up!
