This is my first post so I guess I'll introduce myself with a couple of pics of a young lady (friend) that tried out for ANTM. The show had a casting call this past week and here are a few samples of what she showed them. Keep in mind that the show generally looks for ladies with very little modeling experience to keep the audience interested. Please comment on anything you think can make the pictures better or more interesting. Thanks!

I love the 2nd shot. she looks a little uncomfortable in the 1st. other than that, they are both well done. Looking forward to more work from you.

I have to hop on the bandwagon to say that the 2nd one captures my attention a bit more than the first!
Great shots! How long have you been shooting for?
The only thing that I would personally PP would be to bump up the contrast a bit in the pics... and maybe saturate the first picture a little. Other than that, these shots are amazing, and a great way to start off your membership to the forums!
Welcome!

Thanks for all the great comments.
I've been shooting for a little over 4 yrs and hovering over this forum for a little over a year. My first and only camera for awhile was the EOS Rebel(black body-bought in '98 or '99). I recently upgraded to the 20D and decided to get a little more involved in the art.
The only thing that I would personally PP would be to bump up the contrast a bit in the pics... and maybe saturate the first picture a little.
I'm glad you mentioned the saturation as I did increase the levels some but didn't want to pump it up too much for fear of oversaturating the reds. I wanted to give it that extra pop but maybe I could give it a little more. - Thanks for the suggestion.

Thanks for the great comments, you know how to make a new poster feel welcomed.
I hope to bring many more pics of this young lady and other models as the opportunities arise.
Very good pictures http://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif
What lighting did you use?
I only used natural lightning and the 580. Some Photoshop post processing but mainly to saturate the reds a little more in the first picture.

Wonderful! I don't think the saturation needs to be touched one bit. Looks great! I'm ready for more.

i like your shots a lot.
just wondering though...has there been any post work done on the skin specifically on the face/cheeks, or is the sort of blauchy skin natural? almost looks like it could blended/smoothed out a bit...
but overall nice shots.

She's still in her acne years and her skin is a little blauchy. I tried to smooth it out a little bit but not too much for fear of making it look spotty. I'm still trying to developing my photoshop skills.
Thanks

Really nice shots and the 2nd is great. Geesh, reminds me of a thread on a Swedish photography forum regarding the Swedish version of Top Model. The pics on the official website are horrible!
