Wow, they used to price these at a penny. It's now $1.95.
If you want them for free, try typing your zip code search for Rosco distributors in your area here:
http://www.rosco.com/us/retail/index.asp
Once you get the list, just send them an email request to one or two of them for a couple of books. I got four books this way, only two days after the initial requests. They came via brown truck, too!

yeah, the last sets I bought were just a penny...but what are ya gonna do, if they are finding people willing to buy them for a couple bucks each plus shipping, not much you can do about it.
As for searching, thanks but the closest vendor to me is a 90mi round trip. For me the only way to get photo gear is mail order/online. Still good point that is there is a place near you always search to find out then call to see if they have any of the swatchbooks.
BTW, I am guessing that B&H is at least paying for shipping now when they get in a shipment of "sample" swatchbooks. And of course folks like me are more than happy to pay even the $2 + shipping.

What I meant was to have them ship a couple of swatchbooks to your front door -- ALL (gels and shipping) for free. That's how I got 4 of mine. I never drove a foot outside of my garage door to get them. :D

I got my first two about a year ago and the other two just yesterday. If you go down the list and send them an email with your request, some will send, some will not.

It was awhile ago since I got mine so I don't remember the exact link I used but I know I didn't pay anything for mine. Pretty sure I went right to Rosco's page. But it got even better :) About a month or so ago I got a letter in the mail thanking me for ordering from Rosco and to thank me they had free items blah blah blah - gave a web address to Rosco and my redemption code - about a week later I got a box of goodies. More gel swatchbooks, a big bag, tshirt, gel pens, those soft lens cloths... some wet wipes.... seems like I'm forgetting something but who knows. Pretty nice for never spending a penny with them :)

The "salad days" are over...don't seem to have the free stuff from the main offices anymore.

i checked the roco online distributor thing and I found one in my area. I called and asked if they had the rosco books and they said yes so I had my step dad step in after work so he could get me one of each since I need them (building a color wheel for a special droid and it has to be 100% accurate) so the size of the swatches is perfect... but
they gave him two Lee Filters swatch books... they will work I guess.

Thanks for the heads up. Hopefully I'll find a local vendor.
