Is it too soft?

Well I shot this image with my telephoto lens at 300mm and lens is rather soft at that length. Is it too soft?

I would say it's very difficult to tell with a compressed jpg, especially when it's less than 100K.

From what I can tell this looks very nice.

A bit soft I think, but nice shot anyhow. What lens are you using?

I think it is a little soft, but as stated above, I think it is more due to the compression of the JPEG, not the shot itself. Looks good. What an odd bird... :D

This was shot with canon 75-300 III. I should have stopped it down but had no time http://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_sad.gif. I had just few seconds and managed to get two shots...

like everyone else who commented so far - hard to tell on the focus this reduced, but cool to look at none-the-less.
