These are pictures I took when I went to Bohol, Philippines. Stayed at the Bohol Beach Club... :)

Bohol is known for its Chocolate Hills (hundreds of hills located in one area) and the Tarsier (smallest primate in the world). ;)

Guess the beady eyes caught you off guard... hehehe!

Sorry about the tarsier (out of the topic)... ;) But the tarsier is synonymous with Bohol, and so is the Chocolate Hills. It (tarsier) is actually much, much smaller than the picture I posted.

Yes, the Chocolate Hills is awesome. Can't understand why pictures can't seem to capture its majestic beauty... similar to that of the Grand Canyon. :)

hi macgical.. nice photos! the thing i learned about photography, especially scenic is you have to shoot them at a time when there is good lighting or use a polarizing filter. otherwise, you will need to post process the photos in your computer.

i will visit there next time i go back home. sige pare.. bert

I see. Thanks! Salamat, mare! ;)

I did not bring along my SLR then. I do believe I have a polarizing filter. But I thought you only use it for items behind a glass...? The filter often attached in my lens is a UV filter so that the lens won't get scratched! :D

I think the Canon S45 do not have a way to attach filters...

Great pictures! Years agoi I lived in the heart of the Chocolate hills for nearly a month, as a Geology student. Bohol is indeed a lovely place - great diving spots and lovely hills.

What an interesting looking place! I've seen pictures of the tarsiers before somewhere. They sure are unusual looking.

In the second shot the horizon is not level. I would adjust that, I find it very distracting. Looks liek a nice place.

Thanks! Yes, Bohol is really a lovely place. Lately, it has become a great tourist destination. What triggered this is when families of dolphins have migrated to Bohol after the tsunami struck our neighboring countries. Dolphin and whale watching is one of the water activities that can be done in Bohol.

The tarsier is great.
Thanks! :)

Hindi ko alam. Parang sobra silang cute, ayaw ko atang kainin...

Yes they are! Placed one at the back of my hand, the tarsier is the same size as my fist, if not smaller. Their touch is feathery and so is their long tail. :)

Yes, you're right! I'll try to adjust it. Thanks! :)
