I really don't do much still life work at all, but while photographing a cattle drive, this caught my eye. I couldn't help myself, and had to shoot it. I can't imagine myself ever actually setting up these kind of shots with lighting, a tripod, studio, etc. But when something's right there in front of me that catches my eye like this, I think it's well worth taking a few minutes to shoot it. I'd appreciate any comments from folks who shoot still life regularly - especially those who shoot subjects "as found" with ambient light.
