Hello experts I need help! REALLY
i just got 2 canon 580EX 2 brand new
and 3 pocket wizzards plus 2
all from B&H.
the flashes on the camera work great! both...
when i connect the triggers to the flashes and hit the test button they work excellent! the do their flash thing...
now when i connect the third pocketwizzard to my canon 450D, with the plug to mini plug cable! and test it... i find this out...
my shutter button stops working as it should
when i click it HALF WAY y fires the flashes... and when i fully press it it doesnt shoot the flashes! but it takes the picture! what a heck is going on? my shutter button is ok... it works well when i umplug the miniplug cable.
is it a problem with the cable? is the cable the issue? or i have to check/uncheck a settign on the camera?
pleasehelp! i want to start shooting my first strobist samples, but i cant
my flashes are being shoot when i hit the button half way! whats going on
need help! really

The cable isn't designed to be plugged into the remote shutter plug on the camera. It's designed to plug into a studio flash.

Unplug the cable, and mount the PW on your camera's hotshoe.

+1 The cable is not needed when the PW is mounted on the camera. BWT I just got the new ETTL capable Pocket Wizards (the Mini and the Flex) and so far they seem to work great.
