Hey guys,
I've been looking at getting a cheap video camera to muck around on and i have been doing some reading about the depth of field adapters. I know that these are expensive or can be home made for the budget conscious.

Then I had the idea of cutting out the middle man and hacking the video camera so that my SLR lens projects straight onto the video camera sensor. I know that this would involve removing the existing lens and would probably destroy the camera. I have no idea if this would work, i don't no much about video cameras.

Any ideas would be great. And I apologize if this is just a stupid question.

thanks

Ah! Do you mind a 10x crop factor? Camcorders have 1/2.7" sensors.

If you want DOF, you need a larger sensor.

what about if the lens was mounted closer to the sensor, kinda like a smaller back focus than the EFS lenses?
