Yep these are the photos of my new baby fully blooded Australian Shepard named Aussie. She is a great dog so sooo smart. And to think I didnt even pay for her I traded the girl senior photos for 2010 for one of her pups :) I love having skills. (First Bath Story)

Here is the setup I use for small dog photography. It's a white umbrella from above and a silver umbrella from camera position. The silver umbrella brings out the glossy coat.
The background is just cloth on PVC pipe frame. Buying two inexpensive eBay studio strobes and stands and two umbrellas along with a cheap infra red trigger; you could be set up for dog photography for around $150. Dog portraiture can be quite lucrative.

Great work RPCrowe! This is what I would love to do. Have been practicing on my dogs for 3 years now. Just need a better camera and some equipment!

This has nothing to do with the photos (which I love), but is your Aussie pup largely white? Were the others? She might be a Pattern White, or a Double Merle (more commonly known as a "lethal white", which is an incorrect term best suited to horses). If so, due to lack of pigment development, she may be at risk for deafness or serious vision problems--and if so, this is no reason not to love the hell out of her, just something to keep a watch for.

My old Aussie girl, Ally, says 'Hello Pup." She was the runt of the litter, born on a local farm and given to my dad. She was too 'high strung' for them so they gave her to me. Eleven years later, she is still my best friend and without a doubt, the best dog I have ever had!
