I had the chance to shoot my first new born today so jumped at the chance, any C&C would be appreciated!

I was gutted I missed the focus on the base of the foot with with shot, the only pic I didn't check after i shot it too:

I like #3.... its a bummer you missed the last shot of the feet the comp would have been just right!

I would like to see some photos of his whole head and face and have it in focus. Try putting the baby on the floor (on a playmat or blanket) and then get down there with him. And try not shooting up the nose for a little more pleasing effect. Keep trying....

your b&w conversions are super gray, I would suggest trying a new technique to make them lighter and have more contrast. I like doing a simple gradient map and playing with the levels and curves.

I have always struggled with B&W conversions, I will give that a go .. :D
