Looks like just an expensive off brand.

I would look at Feisol or Benro for very good quality CF options at a similar price point, but most likely much better quality.

Also very heavy at 6+ pounds (~3 kilos for the metric folks).

Also check the Gitzo line for a comparison to the top end in CF tripods.

Induro has excellent CF tripods as well, I love my CX-213
