Here's a two shot sequence of a Division 1 high school baseball pitcher. Comments, suggestions, etc. are most welcomed. I'm not a noob nor a veteran. I'm somewhere in between.

I am not a huge fan of next to no depth of field - but in this case the backgroud isn't the best and had you been able to obscure it a bit more could have helped the action jump out more. Other then that great color and stop action.... cheers!

Thanks for the comment and suggestion. How would I have blurred out the background more? Is it a shutter speed thing?

Which 70-300 lens do you have? I am researching them now and looking to buy the EOS 300D.

Have read that the Sigma 70-300 APO is much better than DL, etc.

Those are some pretty decent shots. I like the first one the most. Second one is sort of fuzzy, but I like how you can see the ball in mid air.

You might want to rotate the first one so the horizon is level and then crop again.
