When I posted the attached below, it was moved in a Sticky, This appears to have killed my question stone dead.

Thanks
Brian

Can any tell me if there are any problems when using either a Canon EF series Extender or a Kenko Teleconverter on a Canon IS Zoom lens?

Thanks
Brian

Not all extenders are compatible with all lenses, so do your homework carefully before you make a purchase. Also you should know that putting an extender on a poor lens will make it slower (eg a 1.4X convertor on a F4-F5.6 will turn into F5.6- and reduce the quality. Also, the 10D/20D line will only autofocus on camera with a maximum aperture of F5.6 or wider.

Brian, did you get a chance to read the Sticky in the EF lens area?

There are lots of answers.
