I know the light is not the best on these, but I wanted to make sure I caught the colors of the glass. This is some of the most awesome stained glass I have seen in this church.
A full-panel 10ft x 10ft Authentic Tiffany!

Can you find the hidden Confederate message in this panel?

You can see the hidden message in the closeups on this page (and a whole lot more): http://www.bastaards.org/Stained_Glass.htm

I like them, very nice. I like stained glass windows, they're so beautiful. Great job. Do you mind me asking what church this was? Gotta be a big one to afford a real Tiffany stained glass?

Sorry about the confusion. Here is the window above, blown up. This is in the lower, left-hand corner.

The elderly pastor of this church came up to me and asked me if I wanted to see some history. He took me over to this pane and told me this story.
Towards the end of the War of Northern Aggression, Confederate President Jefferson Davis left Richmond, Virginia ahead of the Union Army. He came by train to this town where he and his cabinet had the very last Confederate Constitutional Congress meet in a local hotel. Afterwards, the cabinet cross to this church and asked the pastor to bless their journey. They attended the service and then split up. Jefferson Davis got back on the train and headed out to Mobile, Alabama where he was captured by Union forces.
The church, wanting to show support for the cause but not wanting to become a target for Union soldiers or the carpet baggers that followed, commissioned this small piece of glass to be made and placed.

the War of Northern Aggression :D Over 140 years ago & you guys still call it that! (You'll have to go some to catch up with the Irish!) ;)
Nice shots, though. That glass is great. Thanks for the history, too.

I still use that expression for two reasons, 1) It is a bit more accurate than calling the war "Civil" and 2) it annoys the heck out of the liberals :p

I would say that's pretty correct saying there was nothing "Cival" about that war. My understanding is that there were more Americans killed during that war than all the other wars we have been involved with combined. :( :( :(
Annoys the heck out of the liberals?
