These little fellas make lots of music. Mockingbirds are the state birds of five US states, including ours. I kinda like his nerve perching in front of that giant tire:

The one bird I really miss from Texas and wish we had in Colorado is the mockingbird. I love their ever interesting songs.

Tupe, what lens did u use to shoot the lovely bird, and how far were u from the subject? I like to learn how to shoot butterflies and birds but that is my weakest link right now.

The specs say it's 420mm at full telephoto - exif says 386 equiv. I'd estimate being 12 to 25 feet away for most useable captures. Pics like this at full zoom blur easily, even with IS on:
