I've added this to my arsenal of photo weapons. I'm really happy with, just had it for 2 hrs so I went into the backyard ... let me know what you think....

Looks good. I just got the IS version of that lens and I'm very happy with it as well. I definitely recommend the 1.4x extender too if you are going to use it for wildlife, which will give you about 100-280mm at f/4.

Thanks for the kind comment my friends, here is one more. I can't believe how fast the focusing and sharpness is for this lens, I'm truely impressed. I tried the sigma out for 1/2 hour at the store and just didn't like it.

I really would like to get the extender .... I'll have to wait till next paycheck though lol... this sucker ain't cheap. Wow I'm realizing that the IS would make a huge difference... it's really hard to hand this lens at anything below 100/s

Nice bunch, but the swan is my favorite. I love that lens too.
