Got this backdrop from Backdropscource.co.uk.
Wrinckled Grey - actually more like dark blue ; but it was a lot heavier and stiffer than I expected. has been hanging up 2 weeks now and the folding creases are just as sharp as ever . I did ring them up & they said it was washable - but I'm concerned it may run.
I feel that washing may be the only way to make it softer - but its 3m x 4.5 so I'm not sure if it will fit in my machine.
I thought it was going to be muslin - but I don't think it is - thats why it was relatively cheap I expect.
Has anyone else got backdrops from them?

I only use a backdrop for sitting portraits and everything I use I sort of made myself,
I use a backdrop about 5'x7' all cloth, the sort of stuff you use for a light suit or a womans dress material, I have a black, a white, a sky blue and a sort of violet colour with a big pattern on it (not used the last one yet)
No problems with creases, Firstly I avoid creases by rolling all the backcloths onto the support pole and the few creases that do appear fall out in 10 mins.
If you think your backdrop is going to run in the wash, although I hate to say it, it looks like you have have bought a pup! you should try buying cloth pieces, I don't think that you would get them as wide as 4.5 m, but do you really need them that long?

I think you are right (buying a pup)- I got it long because I really want to do full body shots - but have since realised my room is probably not long enough!
I did make my own white muslin one - I shall cut a bit off the bottom of this one ans wash it & see what happens - I'm not too keen on the 'grey' colour so it will be interesting to see is it washes out.

Washed a piece and it was fine - have managed to wash the rest by first soaking it in the bath which made it soft enough to go in machine. Has lost all its stiffness and a little of the harshness of the colour.
Thanks for all comments :)
PS was 3m wide by 4.5 long
