WORLDWIDE PHOTO WEEK: PART 164 -- Water

Every week we select a new theme, and then go out and shoot that theme. This week the theme is Water. Be as imaginative/creative as you like when interpreting the theme -- the sky's the limit!


Here are the rules:

1. Shots need to be taken between sunrise Monday and sunset the following Sunday. Because this activity is supposed to encourage us to get out and shoot, please don't post old shots from your archives. Snap shots and art are equally welcome -- just get out & shoot, and then share!

2. Post your shots at any time during the week.

3. Post a maximum of two shots if you're uploading them to POTN (i.e., attaching them). You can post more than two if you're linking to shots that are not hosted by POTN (i.e.,embedding them), but keep within POTN rules. Also keep within POTN rules about size. 86 degrees.. The daytime temps are in the low hundreds, been swimming since the end of march.

I floated up over it and it tried to scoot away so I thought it might be a small crab so I turned it over...to find it looking back!

I think it is a conch. I took it 20 feet down off of Alhambra beach in Venice Beach, Florida last Friday...I also found a part of a Mastodon lower jaw (preliminary ID), some sharks teeth, a fossilized Dugong rib (Manatee) with a shark tooth grove in it and a piece of a 3 inch Megaladon tooth...
