Took this shot today. I think its a Great Horned....but a few others seem to think its a Long Eared. Any ideas? CC welcome

Beautiful, great shot. We don't have great horned owls that look like that here in southern Calif. Looked it up in my bird book and apparently there is a N. variety that looks just liken your pic.

It looks more like a Great Horned Owl in the breast feathers. It is a much larger bird than the Long-eared Owl.
