I like it. The daisies seem to jump out of the picture... ;)

They look good already, as they are.

Maybe bump up saturation just slightly in photoshop.
And if you had a faster lens, like f2.8 or less, rather than 5.6. Would isolate the flowers more. Or alternatively, shoot the flowers at absolute minimum focus distance, and make sure the objects in the background, are far away. Will give the illusion of a very narrow depth of field range.

Ditto what Wazza said. Instead of all twenty or so flowers, go in close and fill the frame with say 2 or 3. The background should go. The composition as it is right now is 'in need of improvement'.

i think the daisies are fine. it's a good snap. i'd like to offer my humble suggestions:

previous posts have suggested focusing on fewer flowers; alternatively you can zoom out and show more, depending on what it is that you'd like to convey.

the lighting is a bit too hard, maybe you can return to the same spot in early morning or late afternoon and take another shot.

btw, what camera/lens do you use?

happy shooting!

I agree, nice shot though.

I think it's a great shot! Personally I'd also like to see a shot showing the daisies from a different angle. Maybe a higher angle up so you can see the tops of them better. Perhaps a few feet up so you can pan the surrounding flowers in the shot.

Afterthought re my comment, "Things look So much better in the viewfinder" - I just thought of why that is & should have told you before. It's because what you see is with the lens wide open if you're using a SLR. When the pic is taken, the lens stops down & ruins your dreamy DOF. So you need to use the DOF preview, or just shoot at smaller aperatures & what you see will be closer to what you get. Even with that, I still see a better shot in the viewfinder than I get 'cause our eyes can accept a bigger contrast range than we can get on the screen or print.

You're right--it's not a bad shot at all. What initially comes to my mind, though, is that there is a bit too much reflected light coming off the petals--especially the yellow ones in the background. Looks like the sun was high in the sky and off to the left as you shot: using a polariser might have helped cut some of the glare and increase the saturation of the blue flowers in the foreground.

Just a thought.
