Hi there,

I am trying to find out about potential Image Libraries to use in the future. One which was recommended in a photo mag was photega.com. Has anyone used this or has some others I could check out.

I DO NOT want one of the royalty free libraries. Photege says on their site that the photographer gets 50% commission on all sales (plus an additional 25% of any Exclusivity Deals). Plus there is no joining fee.

I am new to this and want to know what else to consider and look for.

Sixshot, your question is unclear.

Are you buying or selling?

Hi, sorry for any confusion.

Basically want I would like to know is when choosing a photo library to submit your work, what do you need to consider. Photega was mentioned in a photo mag and I am considering submitting work to them or another photo library. Has anyone used this library or can make a reccomendation of a good one to use.

Cheers.

50% commission on all sales Sounds interesting, but I'm wondering 50% of what? ;-)

In my opinion Photega isn't a fantastic stock library to start with.

If you are serious about it then have a look at Alamy.com and of course the usual suspects Gettyimages.com and Corbis.com. Alamy give you a minimum of 60% commission.

Hope this helps
