horizon is whack as well plus the f5.6 is a strange aperture to use. Could be the lens but it was shot with a MkIII at 200mm so I don't think that's the case, it was just stopped down. not raggin ya Pete, hopefully this gives you some things to think about next time out.

Assuming you had a 70-200 on there,you'd have 1-2 stops of aperture to open up (depending on which version of the glass you have). Open it up and just increase your shutter. No need to shoot day sports at 1/500th. Even it you only had f5.6, I'd still bump the ISO well past the setting you used and increase my shutter. If exposed well, you won't see much noise from that MkIII even at 1000 ISO which is again, another whole stop of light for you.
