The first picture was shot in Seoul with EOS 50D, F9 shutter speed 1/4, ISO 400 (auto), lens Canon EF25-105mm

#1 seems not to work at all. I have not the faintest clue as to what I'm looking at. #2 is a good shot. Nice composition, good lighting, adequate effect on the motion of the wheel.

I agree with tinner...#1 for me just leaves confusion. The second is a really nice shot. I would recommend cropping it in slightly tighter to remove the pole on the left to reduce distraction.

...and, I'll 3rd the previous comments. I've seen quite a few pics of the London Eye on Flickr. This is one of the better photos. Nice colors and motion effects, along with sharpness in the stationary portions.
