Admins, could you please change the constraint on pic size to 200k? Because 100k size constraint limit us to upload only mid quality picture, a lot of details will lost in compressing and the pictures look unclean. Thanks!

I can't imagine why we need higher resolution for viewing on a computer monitor, and I doubt if a lot of peple will be much interested in printing a file just so they can appreciate the detail in it. That becomes a pretty expensive way to admire other people's work.
It's not my call, but frankly, I don't see much value in it, especially for people with slower connections.

I second belmondo. Can't see a need for it myself. And not to do with connection speed, I have fast connection. 100K is fine for a forum. No?

100K is very generous. If you feel you need to post higher quality photos, then use your own server and post a hyperlink.
As it is, the POTN server is real heavy on attachments.

The attachment feature is for people who do not have image hosting service. If you have one, you can use IMG tags to embed any size you want.
If people would promise that they do not
a) use more than two attachments per new post. Now I see a trend to post 2 attachment in 5 posts on one thread, which basically uses attachment feature to build personal galleries in forum threads.
b) use attachments only when you NOT have some hosting service for images.
I could raise the size limit to 150KB.
There is no actual problem with attachment storage in this server. But I would like to make some simple rules as above to make sure it won't grow out of proportion in time and tha will not happen if they are used only when there is no other way.
Else I can easily see that inthe future (year or so) attachments will be either be restricted per user or it is made a paid service - which I really do not like.
