2009 Manx National Rally

Spent last weekend on the Isle of man for the Manx telecom national rally,to be honest it was a little dissapointing with a small......ish entry of just over 70 cars!
The ferry from Liverpool was cancelled which ment we had to drive up to Heysham & catch a much later one,so only landed on the island 1 hour before the start (was hoping to recce some of the stages 1st,but didn't have time)
Not the best locations for action shots im afraid!

2 - i like most, really tight crop might works( top- below building window line, left - take red sign with, right - free)

1- I did try to straghten the walls/doorway's but the buildings are on a pretty steap hill & when i straighten one wall,another looked crooked :(

Hi Pete,
Like you say ,very dissapointing entry,sign of the times and lack of money I suppose.

Must have been a gutter getting there late,but looks like you had a reasonable time in the end.

The jumping mitsi is the pick for me ,though maybe I would crop the sign out or clone out.
The Hyundai shot is good withe folk looking out from the ice cream place in the rain.
And good action on the hairpin in 2.

Thanks for commenting,it was a real pain in the bum not to get to the island earlier but high winds meant the sea cat couldn't sale,next time i'l have to plan my locations beforehand :rolleyes:
The flying evo 3 was taken at curragh crossroads but that's the 1st time i have seen it run in this direction & it's very tame compared to the other way (he was the only guy to get any real air......but then he is a local ;))
As for the ice cream shop shot,it looked very slippery for the top crews as the heavens opened just as they were on the start line on dry tyres :confused:
Must have been a nightmare for them!
