Your comments are always welcome, in the following photos how is possible to reduce the high brightness and not underexpose it. The first settings F5.6, shutter speed 10, ISO 100, lense 35-105 mm.

Try using a "curves" adjustment... it lets you change the brightness levels throughout the photo to taste. I vaguely recall Canon Photo Professional providing it, and certainly the GIMP and Photoshop do. Cheers, Tony

Hey,

Aperture for Mac also has the above adjustments.
If you have the original handy (for the top one) could I grab it and give it a shot?
I quite like Darling harbour (Sydney)!

I really like number 2, too bad you did not get the whole "boat" in though.

Hey JAnt!

I made some minor adjustments to the shot.
A few highlight changes too.
If you had skillz + time, you could go ahead and do the whole Alpha masking thing in photoshop (not that I know how) to Fine tune individual lights that are bugging you.

I'm sure some of the other guys here could do better, BUT, here is my attempt ;)

Thanks for the help, the photo looks much better, the reflect of the ship on the water is clear. Time I have not not the skill, I need to practice and keep reading. I will keep asking if you don't mind

Hey Jose,

It didn't take much to make thiese changes.
There are a few guides on this forum that can get you started (I will no doubt be looking into them too, as that's about the limit of what I'm capable of!)
I also tried a bit of white balance adjustments, got it looking a little more natural too.
Can post if you like.
Give it a shot, GIMP is a free program that quite a few people on here use (havn't tried it though), I use Aperture.

Happy to answer any questions you might have, although I will probably need to research the answers (great way for me to learn too!).
